Bamboo is a type of grass with a growth rate of a few millimeters to tens of centimeters per day. Because bamboo grows so fast, it is even seen as weeds in some places. How are bamboo disposables made?
After 4 to 5 years, bamboo is fully grown and can be cut down. The bamboo is then first cut into long strips. These strips are then boiled in water to kill parasites and bacteria. The strips are joined together, leaving the natural grain structure visible. Because bamboo becomes bendable in warm water, all kinds of different shapes and products can be formed.
