Want to buy PLA (cornstarch) disposables?

Many of our lids, garbage bags and transparent containers are made from PLA. PLA is a biodegradable plastic that comes from crops such as corn and sugarcane. Polylactide or polylactic acid is the name for thermoplastic polymers of lactic acid. These are often referred to by the abbreviation PLA, which comes from polylactic acid. An advantage of this material is that it is biodegradable, we sell a varying range of this material.

How are PLA (corn starch) disposables made?

The glucose is extracted from the crop and then fermented. This produces lactic acid, which is then processed into polymer. Ultimately, our disposables are made from this. The difference with 'traditional' plastic? It has to do with the raw material.
